Kind Label of the Week: lilah b

Every week we share one of our favourite labels working to make the world more beautiful, and more importantly, more kind.

This week, we're featuring lilah b. The brand creates a minimalist collection of cosmetics that are vegan, free from animal testing, and gorgeous.

Kind to animals

As the term 'cruelty-free' has become synonymous with 'free from animal testing', unfortunately shopping for kind cosmetics has become a little confusing. Cosmetics labelled 'cruelty-free' can, and do often still contain animal ingredients like pig fat, animal hooves, fish scales, crushed bugs and all sorts of things you don't want to put on your face.

Brands like lilah b are genuinely kind to all animals, neither testing their products on animals, or including them as ingredients in their vegan label.

Minimalist and low waste

lilah b believes in quality over quantity, and the power of decluttering. Creating their minimalist collection of multi-purpose products (think a pink toned pan that works beautifully on your lips, as a blush, and as an creamy eye shadow), they're helping people be more with less.

Perhaps one of the things we love most about lilah b is their efforts to leave a lesser mark on the planet. Their products come beautifully packaged in more valuable materials like glass and metal, which are more likely to be effectively recycled than plastics.

The brand offers a free recycling program, where anyone can send unwanted beauty products (from any brand) so they can be processed and recycled properly.

Beauty made more natural

lilah b's beauty products are nourishingly natural, made with ingredients like aloe, agar, and other beneficial botanical ingredients. None of their products contain paragons, phthalates, sulphates or synthetic fragrances. With these kinds of ingredients, make-up could actually improve your skin.
