Fashion Colour Trend: Washed Denim Blue

Everyone has that favourite pair of jeans. They're the perfect blue, and for many people, that blue is a light washed denim. This colour tone is everywhere at the moment, and it's one we love. Here are some of our favourite styles in the washed denim colour trend...

Vegan fur from Unreal Fur

This Icebreaker Jacket is a wash of different light denim tones, it's cruelty-free, and it's gorgeous.

Unreal Fur is an Australian label which is proudly vegan, and ethically made. The label also runs some recycling and repurposing initiatives to combat material off-cut waste. Love that.

Vegan suede shoes from RAFA

We love these disco mules in a light denim tone.

RAFA USA is an ethically made vegan label producing stunning shoes from recycled materials. Lovingly made by 20 artisans in Los Angeles, this label is as transparent as they are fashionable.

Pale blue cotton dress from Penny Sage

This beautiful dress is the perfect combination of comfort and style. Soft cotton is breathable and flows off your frame, while the v cut back and slightly puffed sleeves brings structure and form.

Penny Sage is an independent New Zealand label making clothes ethically. The brand predominately uses natural materials - beware, this is not a vegan brand so check the label, but there are some beautiful plant-based options.

Baby blue co-ord from The Only Label

We loved this set from The Only Label so much we used it in our campaign shoot. (More on the bag later...)

The Only Label is an ethically made brand that doesn't follow trends, but makes pieces that can be loved and worn no matter what season, style or trend is in. Loved fashion lasts.

Vegan knitwear from Kowtow

We absolutely love this vegan organic cotton knit from Kowtow, in a perfect soft blue.

Kowtow is another New Zealand based label that works mostly with natural materials. Again, this one isn't a vegan label, so make sure to stick with their organic cotton, not the wool products which are less sustainable, and not-cruelty free.

Vegan leather and tweed handbag from Kinds of Grace

Our own creation, we love how this bag looks alongside denim.

The Cloud Hydrangea Tweed Handbag is made ethically, PETA-approved vegan, and more sustainable than a cow skin and wool tweed handbag. Good ethics, good aesthetics.

And of course, denim itself, from Justice Denim

If we're talking washed denim blue, it only makes sense to share our favourite denim.

Justice Denim creates ethical denim that supports organisations working to protect children from trafficking, providing them with safety and education. The brand uses vegan leather patches.
